Our Team
Jim Scully
Jim is a 30+ year consumer and retail industry veteran who combines operating fundamentals and financial discipline with extensive transaction and capital markets expertise. During his career, Jim has held executive positions at Saks, J.Crew, Avon, and J.Jill as well as interim positions at J.Jill and Neiman Marcus. Jim’s experiences range from driving operational excellence to executing public and private company transformations, corporate restructurings, and transactions.

Michael Salmon
Michael brings 25+ years of experience, including holding both COO and CSO roles. He has specific expertise driving revenue growth, operational scale, and omnichannel transformation for leading brands including Torrid, J.Crew, Madewell, and Gap. Now a Partner at Elm Street Advisors, he advises our clients on merchandising architecture, inventory optimization, profitability, and end-to-end operational design.

Ted is a 20+ year customer-centric and data driven leader with a track record of successfully developing and executing growth strategies and improving operational efficiencies. Since joining Elm Street Advisors, Ted has led strategy engagements for top retailers in the industry. Prior to Elm Street, Ted worked for Vitamin Shoppe, J.Crew, Deloitte Consulting, and Amazon.

Justin has 20+ years of retail strategy experience driving growth through high-impact brand expansion and retail reinvention efforts for companies including Audi of America, Dick’s Sporting Goods, J.Crew and adidas. As a Partner at Elm Street Advisors, he leads operating support for portfolio companies and advises clients on omnichannel strategic growth initiatives.

Jane brings 20+ years of experience in operations, consumer retail investment banking at Goldman Sachs, and as a venture capital and growth investor. She co-founded Elm Street Advisors with Jim in 2018. Jane supports our transaction and strategy engagements and overseas Elm Street’s day-to-day operations and portfolio investment platform.

James is a finance executive with 20+ years of experience in finance operations, technical accounting and team development from his time in client service at PwC and as a public company Controller. He has advised clients on complex technical accounting matters and improving finance effectiveness. Since joining Elm Street Advisors, James heads up our CFO practice.

Bob brings 30+ years of experience in finance, public accounting, and public company leadership, with deep expertise in M&A, financings, restructuring, SEC reporting, and controls. He has led global finance teams and most recently served as CFO of Greenidge Generation, overseeing its IPO via reverse merger.
